Chris Cassels entered the world of photography in 1974. His first photos were on a Kodak Instamatic which he soon upgraded to 35mm in 1976. Back in the day, Chris would shoot 8 mm film and experimented with stop motion action. He spent the next 20 years shooting promo shots, album covers, cassette and CD covers of various music groups. Today, he captures images on his Canon Mark II, the world’s best still camera and lens. His images have been featured on the cover of Newsweek, The National Enquirer and The Singing News. His photo assignments have taken him to seven countries. His most recent assignment captured images for the Asheville, NC Convention and Visitors Guide, Asheville Chamber of Commerce and North Carolina’s Governor Bev Purdue.

Casablanca Digital Media crafts stories using the best equipment in photography from cameras to lights.  Chris now has over 220 hours logged for aerials, making him one of the nation’s most sought-after aerial photographers.

No one connects with people and directs them like Chris for images that stimulate the eye.  He has a great attitude and knows how to inspire and get the best out of people. Chris says: “After 30 years of shooting everyday you begin to dance with your subjects and create magic; it becomes second nature.”
